Iwahana Kannon is a deity enshrined by Yoshinaka Kiso when he drew water to his castle.

There is a Kannondo temple at the mountain peak and you will see 107 stone monuments including the Bato Kannons. It is known to be one of the "three Kannons in Kiso" together with Maruyama Kannon in Kaida Kogen and Iwade Kannon in Okuwa-mura village.
Bato Kannons are well believed in the Kiso area to pray for the health of cows and horses necessary for the people's life.
